The road towards innovation for the future floating offshore wind farms and a sustainable future in offshore wind energy is facing challenges linked to the platform design which need to accommodate larger and larger wind turbines, the reduction of Levelized Cost of Energy, optimization of raw material usage, the circularity by design, just to mention few. The present symposium is calling for contribution from academia, research, and industry to bring forward their contributions of new design and manufacturing techniques for substructures, drivetrain, and blades. Constant efforts towards pioneering designs and manufacturing techniques are highly encouraged. Lightweighted, circular and long-lasting solutions, optimized designs and new materials for floating wind tower structures, compact and more reliable WT drivetrain, lightweight, recyclable and easy to manufacture wind turbine blades, development of intelligent predictive computational modeling tools, are all among the topics which are called up in this symposium.
