Wind farms and wakes

Wind farm flow control is a technology which coordinates the control activities of individual turbines within a farm to optimize the performance of the overall plant, accounting for inter-turbine aerodynamic interaction.  Recent years has seen exciting new develops in this field from larger field validation studies of wake steering to the introduction of new methodologies of wind farm flow control. IEA Wind Task 44: Wind Farm Flow Control coordinates international research in this space. In this mini-symposium, IEA 44 will invite and organize a series of sessions covering the latest research in wind farm flow control from researchers from around the world.
