Wind resource, metocean and extreme conditions

This session deals with applied uncertainty-quantification (UQ) in practice: its statistical application to wind, starting with resources, energy yield and site-assessment.

This includes many aspects, such as uncertainties of plant performance, measurements, wind modelling, and environmental conditions. Considering propagation of uncertainty, it could be seen to feed into other themes, from project financing to design.

This follows up a 2024 local Danish session on such, and accompanies the 61400-15-2 standard on wind resource reporting/uncertainty (finally) expected next year as well as the emerging 61400-9 on probabilistic design.
